Health, Wellbeing, and Medicine

This research cluster focuses on the social, political, economic, and policy determinants of health and wellbeing, and the inequality therein throughout the life course and across geographic areas. It also examines the institution of medicine, the history and evolution of Western and Chinese medicine, the relationship between medicine and society, the doctor-patient relationship, and the social construction of diseases and illnesses.
