Ms Florence Kayan Lapto
  • Florence is a full-time PhD student at HKU Sociology. She received her bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Management, and Politics from the City University of Hong Kong and master’s degree in Criminology from HKU.


    Before her PhD study, she worked as a research assistant in Public and Social Policy Research Centre of The Open University of Hong Kong. She participated various projects about housing and aging.


    Her research interests include sex work, crime, informal settlement, inmate culture, and drugs.
