Welcome everyone to the new academic year! I hope you have had a restful summer and are looking forward to the coming year. We have new faculty who have joined us (welcome Lai and Steve) and new RPG students to the department, so please do extend a very warm welcome to them. We also just had our induction day for our new students on the taught postgraduate Master’s programmes in MCCC and Criminology, both of which have increased their student intakes for this year. It has been great to meet so many new Research Postgraduate and Master’s students this year. Please do enjoy your time with us at the HKU department of Sociology.
