The Department is proud to announce that Prof. Travis S.K. Kong has been promoted from Associate Professor to the position of Professor.

Prof. Kong’s promotion signifies the University's recognition of his excellent performance and meritorious accomplishments in his academic and research work. Prof. Kong is a prolific researcher and a leading sociologist of Chinese sexuality, homosexuality in China and queer Asian studies; his research has been widely recognized for its significance and impact. He has published extensively in high impact journals and with top publishers; and has made influential contributions to the field.
